Breast Cancer

     Breast cancer qualifies for Social Security disability benefits if it meets one of the following criteria:

  • Inoperable carcinoma, or
     
  • Inflammatory carcinoma, or
     
  • Recurrent carcinoma except local recurrence controlled by prescribed therapy, or
     
  • Distant metastases from breast carcinoma (bilateral breast carcinoma, synchronous or metachronous, is usually primary in each breast), or
     
  • Sarcoma with metastases anywhere
